Our next reading group session compares two books about personal style systems. One framework groups proportions numerically, but the other describes a broader silhouette. My priority is to discuss the rules without turning the meeting into personal assessments. For each term, I would write down its definition and the evidence the author asks for. We could then check whether a change of clothing changes the suggested classification. The distinction between a styling preference and a classification rule matters to the discussion. We will use the same questions for both books, and record disagreements rather than assume that matching labels always mean matching ideas. Has anyone found a clear counterexample that helped explain the limits of one framework? It would help to state the rule explicitly before describing why the example challenges it.
