Two gray streaks have become part of my appearance, and I am not looking to cover them completely. My uncertainty is about contrast rather than coverage: would a darker background make the streaks too prominent? Most edited examples I have seen recolor everything together, which removes the feature I want to compare. Would you draw the sections on a photo rather than aim for a realistic edited result? My idea is to label the unchanged sections and limit the comparison to two surrounding shades. The picture would only help explain the idea, rather than predict the result of a color service. If you have kept deliberate gray streaks, what visual references helped you explain the balance you wanted?
