I am putting together a short community workshop about comparing hair shades, and I want the exercise to stay practical. A mirror and paper samples will be our main materials. The session will involve comparisons without applying dye. One participant asked about cool summer hair colors and I thought that could be a useful example of how people narrow a search. Several brown samples would replace a single perfect example. The labels would describe depth and warmth. We could then discuss why two similar names may look different on different screens or printed cards. Personal preference needs space in the discussion. A quiz result would be a conversation starter. It would not specify a coloring formula. Does anyone teach this with a simple example? I especially want participants to leave with useful questions for a colorist instead of a promise that one shade must suit everyone.
