For an upcoming paper mask workshop, I want the planning stage to account for the different outlines of participants’ faces. The standard outline is easy to copy, although it does not explain which parts should be adjusted for a particular wearer. I am considering a short explanation of face shapes as background for that worksheet. I would keep this separate from actual measurements, because a category cannot tell us whether the paper piece will sit comfortably. We could note the widest part of the face and the jaw outline before deciding which template edges to redraw. The paper versions will be tested before decoration, leaving time to change the edges without wasting paint or other materials. I also want participants to feel free to disagree with a label if another description better matches their own observations. People can choose a stylized final mask, but I want their starting notes to be clear enough for useful adjustments. Has anyone used a similar worksheet, and which observations were most helpful before moving from an outline to a wearable template?
